It was a night of sipping, savouring and sprightly socializing

On Tuesday, November 12, Toronto Life Insiders partook in a night of whiskey business and good old-fashioned Southern fare here at Jump. With our very own Chef Miheer Shete and Beam Suntory’s bourbon ambassador Ray Daniel at the helm, the night kicked off with a spiked Arnold Palmer (served in a take-home mug) and sweet and savoury canapés — including salt and vinegar pork chicharróns, pork terrine with mustard on an apple crostini, and cheddar cheese tarts with honeycomb and bourbon pearls.

The evening only escalated in deliciousness from there, as guests dove in to a mouthwatering four-course meal — each dish thoughtfully paired with a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Between each course, guests had the opportunity to learn from Ray about the history, distillation process and flavour profile of each bourbon — with insight from Chef Miheer about how they complemented each dish.
